I am an artist who works with scientists to visualise their research, particularly in the area of ancient and future environments, climate change and climate futures. My work has been published in scientific journals e.g. Nature, popular books e.g. 'Dinosaurs of the British Isles' Siri Scientific Press, 'Trilobites, Dinosaurs and Mammoths - an introduction to the prehistory of the British Isles' Palaeontological Association, and comics e.g. Flesh, a series for 2000AD magazine. I have led projects funded by the Royal Academy of Engineering, UK, bringing together scientists, engineers, artists and school children to visualise a positive future - 'Dreams of a Low Carbon Future', 'Art of a Sustainable Future'. My aim is to use art to help people understand climate change and find solutions.
