Janique Fortier received her Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Psychology in 2015 and Masters of Science (MSc) in Community Health Sciences in 2017 from the University of Manitoba, Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. Her MSc thesis research focused on the relationship between school readiness in Kindergarten and Grade 7 and 8 school outcomes. She joined the Childhood Adversity and Resilience Research Team, led by Dr. Tracie Afifi in the Department of Community Health Sciences at the University of Manitoba, in 2016 and became a Research Associate with the team in 2017. Her main research interests are in the area of child maltreatment, childhood adversity, and resilience.
