PhD Researcher, University of Salford

Liam McLoughlin is a PhD researcher investigating the relationship between social media and political representation at the University of Salford. His research interests also include the use of social media by politicians, citizen-elite interaction, and innovative uses of social media data.

Previously Liam has worked as a Parliamentary Assistant and spent a short time in an advertising. While not researching, he can be typically found abusing technology, creating Twitter bots, video gaming, or working on the eternal maintenance list that comes with owning a classic Saab.
