Lucy (Kathleen) McGoron

Lucy (Kathleen) McGoron, Ph.D. is an Assistant Professor (Research) at the Merrill Palmer Skillman Institute. She received a Ph.D. in Applied Developmental Psychology from the University of New Orleans in 2012. Her work focuses on creating and evaluating programs for parents of young children. She is committed to finding practical ways to connect parents with research-information parenting strategies to promote positive development for high-risk, young children. Her work is informed by experiences working in child welfare, early childhood education, mental health services, and developmental psychopathology research. Using technology to deliver parenting content is a major focus of her developing program of work.
