Dr. Olive McCarthy

Dr. Olive McCarthy is a senior lecturer and a researcher with the Centre for Co-operative Studies and the Cork University Business School, University College Cork. Her research and teaching interests span co-operatives of all types, with a particular interest in agri-food, credit unions, and related issues, on which she has published widely. She is co-director of the MSc in Sustainable Development, Agri-Food and Co-operatives. She was appointed in 2018 by the Irish Minister for Finance to the statutory Credit Union Advisory Committee (CUAC) which advises him on credit union policy and legislation.
