Robert Deam Tobin

Henry J. Leir Chair in Language, Literature and Culture, Clark University

My work has generally been at the cross-section of LGBTQ studies and German studies. My major publications include "Warm Brothers: Queer Theory and the Age of Goethe" (2000); "Doctor's Orders: Goethe and Enlightenment Science" (2001); "Peripheral Desires: The German Discovery of Sex" (2015); "LGBTQ+ Worcester: For the Record" (2019, with Joseph Cullon and Stephanie Yuhl). With Ivan Raykoff, I'm the co-editor of "A Song for Europe: Popular Music and Politics in the Eurovision Song Contest" (2007).
