Head, Disaster Solutions, Australian National University

Dr Roslyn Prinsley is the Head, Disaster Solutions at the ANU Institute for Climate, Energy and Disaster Solutions. She was previously Head, Strategic Research Initiatives, in the Office of the Deputy Vice Chancellor, Research and Innovation at the Australian National University, where she initiated and led the development of the ANU Bushfire Initiative and ANU-Optus Bushfire Research Centre of Excellence. Roslyn also leads the ANU Community Nature-Based Flood Resilience Initiative funded by NEMA. Before this she was National Adviser for Science and Mathematics Education and Industry in the Office of the Chief Scientist. Roslyn has had an extensive career leading research in natural resource management, human capacity building and bioenergy. She has published over 90 books and reports. She is also a member of the Advisory Board of Maths Pathway.
