Taibat is a HCPC Registered Dietitian with postgraduate degrees in Dietetics and Nutrition (Distinction) and Human Nutrition (Merit). She has experience working within the NHS as an Acute Dietitian and been involved in public health interventions and research.
Her areas of interest in research includes, public health nutrition, obesity and older adults who require nutrition support.
She has carried out public health studies in London - investigating the prevalence of 'healthy' and 'less healthy' food and drinks advertisements near schools.
Her current research project (with input from Apetito and the Food and Nutritional Sciences Department at the University of Reading) focuses on the effects of texture modified and regular meals fortified with protein on appetite and dietary intake in UK older adults. In addition, she aims to explore whether changes in the appearance and flavours of texture modified meals influences food intake and within meal satiety.
Taibat is passionate about promoting evidence-based nutrition information and dispelling nutrition myths. She enjoys helping people from different age groups achieve their health and nutrition goals in a safe and sustainable manner.
