Skilled migrants are playing a crucial role in the success of Australia’s resources boom, a Central Queensland University study has found.
The study focused on the Queensland town of Gladstone, where more than one third of the health services workforce is comprised of skilled migrants. The study also showed that a significant proportion of skilled migrants can also be found in the hospitality and engineering industries.
