Our psychological make-up influences what forms of entertainment we enjoy, rather than our minds being affected by the media we consume, according to research from the University of Cambridge. It suggests that young people may not be overly influenced by violent movies or computer games, but rather that this type of media attracts those who exhibit this type of behaviour
