Wind farm developments won’t lower house values, according to a new study conducted by Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory.
Data on 51,276 house sales was collected from properties located closer to wind turbines than analysed in previous studies.
House values were compared before and after the announcement of a proposed nearby wind farm, as well as before and after construction.
Wind power infrastructure is rapidly being deployed throughout the US, and is expected to continue into more populated areas such as New York and New England.
