Abeer Elshater

Abeer Elshater is a professor of Urban Morphology at Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt, teaching and supervising multidisciplinary topics in the ideology of urban design. She is a personal investigator to a funded research project (STDF Basic & Applied Research Grants (STDF-BARG 37234) by Science, Technology and Innovation Funding Authority about urban heat islands and urban forms. Elshater has also worked on some international research projects with international universities. She is a co-editor, co-author and author of several scientific books and manuscripts. Elshater is deputy editor-in-chief for the Journal of Urban Design and Planning, ICE. Currently, Elshater acts as an ambassador of the Regional Studies Association, United Kingdom (UK).
