My research into endocrine disruption, metabolic and energy homeostasis (obesity) in fish species and other lower vertebrates from tropical ecosystems by endocrine disrupting chemicals has enhanced my desired goals to ensure water and food safety in the African aquatic environment; not only for the general populace, but for children who are the vulnerable sub-population that may experience higher toxicity risks from dietary uptake of contaminated aquatic resources.
