Dr. Alan Walks is a Professor of Urban Planning and Geography at the University of Toronto. He is the author of numerous scholarly articles on urban inequality, neighbourhood change, gentrification, segregation, housing policy, automcobility, and neighbourhood effects in Canadian cities. He is editor of The Urban Political Economy and Ecology of Automobility: Driving Cities, Driving Inequality, Driving Politics (Rutledge 2015), and the co-editor of the The Political Ecology of the Metropolis (ECPR 2013).
