Alex Reilly is a Professor of Law at the University of Adelaide. He has held academic positions in the law schools at Adelaide, Macquarie and Murdoch Universities. He teaches and researches in migration law and policy, constitutional law, legal theory, and Indigenous legal issues.

Alex is a co-chair of the Migration and Refugee Research Network, Deputy Director of the Public Law and Policy Research Unit, and a member of the Work and Employment Regulation research specialisation group in the law school. Alex is an Associate of the Hugo Centre, which does Australian population and migration research.
