Amie Shaw

Amie Shaw is a Senior Lecturer in Human Resource Management and the Deputy Head of Department for Employment Relations and Human Resource Management in the Griffith Business School. Her teaching expertise includes a variety of undergraduate and postgraduate, online and face-to-face courses in the areas of human resource management, work and employability and employment relations. Amie received a highly commended teaching excellence award in 2017 and was nominated for a national teaching award in 2019. She has a specific interest in teaching and developing innovative curriculum and pedagogical practices in the first year and capstone courses. Her discipline research is in the broad field of human resources management with a focus on diversity and inclusion, career development and employability capital; with scholarship research focusing on graduate employability and student success. Amie holds a PhD from Griffith University and an undergraduate degree with honours from the University of Waikato, New Zealand.
