Andrei S. Markovits is professor of political science and German Studies at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. He is the author of two books and many articles on soccer and other sports. His latest book in this area is SPORTISTA: Female Fandom in the United States co-authored with Emily Albertson and published by Temple University Press in 2012.
