Andrew M McIntosh

Professor of Biological Psychiatry, The University of Edinburgh

I am a Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Edinburgh and an Honorary NHS Consultant Psychiatrist working in NHS Lothian.

I lead the Generation Scotland Expert Working Group for Psychiatric Disorders, co-chair the Major Depressive Disorder Working Group of the Psychiatric Genomics Consortium and I am closely affiliated to the Mental Health Data Research Hub DATAMIND. I study the causes and consequences of depression using genetic and other approaches to routinely collected and research data.
