Programme Director, Senior Lecturer in Occupational Hygiene and Occupational Health, University of Manchester

MSc programme director at the University of Manchester, Centre for Occupational and Environmental Health. An academic and practitioner in environmental health and community epidemiology, my expertise focuses on;

o Workplace/occupational risk analysis, assessment and management
o Food and Water safety and quality; law, practice and enforcement
o Microbiology and toxicology of food, soil and water
o Epidemiology of communicable diseases

As Lead for the Community-based Medicine Consortium in the Faculty of Biology, Medicine and Health I work with our online Masters' programmes in population health. I am currently the UK representative at the Joint FAO/WHO Expert Meetings on Microbiological Risk Assessment (JEMRA) of food and water.
