Senior Lecturer in Economics, Murdoch University

I have been researching and teaching in economics for over 20 years, and am highly motivated by the way economics approaches problem solving.

My main research is in the area of labour economics, and in particular, regional labour markets. I also write commentary on government policy, with particular interests in agriculture and mining.

I have taught in almost all areas of economics, but for the past 16 years my focus and drive has been in teaching first year university economics. To this end I have written four text books, one of which is in its 5th edition, two in their 4th editions, and one in its 3rd edition. These are used by over 20 universities across Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and other countries.
