I have broad interests in behavioural ecology, although most of my research revolves around animal communication. In particular I’m interested in how the evolutionary ecology of a species affects their communication systems. This requires detailed knowledge about both the communication itself, as well as the general biology of the species, and the environment or mediums in which they communicate.
