Senior Lecturer In Music Literature and Research, Griffith University

Catherine Grant is author of "Music Endangerment: How Language Maintenance Can Help" (Oxford University Press, 2014). She has received a national Future Justice Medal for her research and advocacy on cultural sustainability, and an Endeavour Australia Fellowship for research in Cambodia on the relationship between traditional music genres and the socioeconomic situation of youth. Her current research examines the links between the sustainability of music cultures and issues of social justice.
