Celeste Pedri-Spade

Associate Professor & Queen’s National Scholar in Indigenous Studies, Queen's University, Ontario

I am a an Anishinabekwe (Lac des Mille Lacs First Nation) research-based artist at Queen's University where I am an Associate Professor and Queen's National Scholar in Indigenous Studies. I completed my PhD at the University of Victoria and MA at Royal Roads University. My primary research interests include the role of Indigenous art in decolonial praxis. I also carry out research related to Indigenous education, Indigenous women's lived experiences and Indigenous arts-based methodologies. I write on a variety of issues affecting Indigenous ways of life, focussing on Indigenous experiences within settler colonial states.
