Chris Hickey

Chris Hickey is a Professor in Education and Chair of Academic Board at Deakin University. As Chair of Academic Board Chris has oversight of the academic governance for maintaining the highest standards teaching and research at Deakin.
He has a strong academic profile in educational scholarship and practice with a particular interest in understanding dominant constructions of pedagogy and how they are linked to larger processes of social cohesion and exclusion. A leader in doctoral education he is a former receipt of a National Citation for Teaching Excellence from the Carrick Institute. He is currently Chief Editor of Curriculum Studies in Health and Physical Education.
