Christine Bryson

Senior Lecturer Medical Science, Anglia Ruskin University

I've moved between academic and biotech commercial research during my career, focusing on T cells and inflammatory pathway assays. I completed my post-doc in Prof Hill Gaston's lab at Cambridge University on T-cell responses to bacterial antigens. I then moved to a biotech company for 5 years, developing T cell based immunogenicity assays for hyper-sensitivity reactions in drug development. In 2013 I moved back to Cambridge University and the Prof Ouwehand in Haematology to work on the NIHR Bioresource: Rare Disease and projects with NHS Blood and Transplant.

Joining Anglia Ruskin University I developed the commercial research platform at the biomarker lab and started teaching. Moving to the Chelmsford Campus in 2022. I work on assays to measure biomarkers in saliva, to monitor oral health and also systemic health.
