Courtney Graetzer

Courtney is a bedside Registered Nurse in the Medical ICU at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. With over eight years of critical care experience, she has developed a wealth of knowledge she hopes to share with the world of journalistic writing. Her career has brought challenges, including being on the front lines during the COVID pandemic, but more importantly has allowed her to learn new skills, participate in new research, and be a part of a team-oriented community. Trained in ECMO and CRRT as well as being active preceptor and charge nurse, Courtney is also active in VUMC's Medication Safety Committee and has written pieces for its news publications The Voice and The Reporter. While still at the bedside, Courtney is hoping to combine her analytical medical background with her creativity to share new knowledge with the world.
