Cristina Gómez has long experience with geospatial technologies for assessment of environmental and ecological change in forest, agriculture, and coastal environments. She specializes in the use of remotely sensed time series from optical and SAR sensors for characterization of forest ecosystem processes of change, including disturbance and natural succession. She has done extensive work evaluating species dynamics and has collaborated with international and multidisciplinary teams. Currently working at University of Valladolid (Spain) as Assistant Professor and holding a honorary research position in University of Aberdeen (UK).
