Laurie Carmichael Distinguished Research Fellow at the Centre for Future Work, and Professor Emeritus, Griffith Business School, Griffith University

David Peetz is the Laurie Carmichael Distinguished Research Fellow at the Centre for Future and Work, and a Professor Emeritus of Employment Relations in the Griffith Business School at Griffith University. He previously worked at the Australian National University and in the then Commonwealth Department of Industrial Relations, spending over five years in its Senior Executive Service. He has been a consultant for the International Labour Organisation in Thailand, Malaysia, China and Geneva, and undertaken work for unions, employers, multilateral organisations and governments of both political persuasions. In 2019 he was Distinguished Visiting Fellow at the Graduate Center of the City University of New York. His most recent book is 'The Realities and Futures of Work' (ANU Press). He is a Fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences in Australia.
