Dominique Clément

Dominique Clément is an internationally recognized authority and Canada’s leading expert on the history of social movements and human rights. He is an historical sociologist whose research crosses the humanities and social sciences with a particular focus on human rights law, policy, and activism. His expertise includes using freedom of information legislation and new technologies for historical research. Clément was the Principal Investigator and leader of a SSHRC-funded national research team that included numerous community partners. This team recently examined the history and current status of public funding for Canada’s non-profit sector.
