I am in my final year of a PhD in astrophysics at the Jodrell Bank Centre for Astrophysics (University of Manchester). As a radio astronomer, I use telescopes such as the Australian Square Kilometre Array Pathfinder to study cosmic magnetic fields. I particularly focus on radio galaxies, which are active galaxies that are very bright at radio wavelengths. I also write and present a range of astrophysical news through various media, including regular contributions to the BBC (e.g. Radio 5 Live and BBC Breakfast) and the Jodcast (astronomy podcast made by Jodrell Bank astronomers).
