Felicity Heathcote-Márcz

PhD Researcher, Management and organizations, University of Manchester

Nicknamed 'the Cyborg Ethnographer', Felicity specialises in the immersive study of material, social and political relations between technology and people. She is interested in technological hybrids, intellectual crossings and bridging traditional boundaries between diverse disciplines, academia and industry. Her unique ethnographic work with one of the largest strategic banking technology centres in Europe from 2014-2016 has allowed Felicity valuable insight into the worlds of a wide range of commercial technology functions and the ‘cultures’ which emerge in these spaces. Her expertise informs design proposals for developing technologies of the future in collaboration with the embodied knowledge of diverse stakeholders. Felicity applies technical experience with the study of organisational culture to provide both practical and conceptual insights to commercial organisations and academic audiences.
