Doctoral Researcher, University of the Witwatersrand

Felix Kwabena Donkor is doctoral researcher at the University of Witwaterstrand, Johannesburg-South Africa. He is a product of the Joint European Masters in Environmental Sciences (JEMES) jointly run by Techniche Universitat Hamburg (Germany), University of Aalborg (Denmark), Aveiro University(Portugal) and Universite Autonomia Barcelona(Spain) in 2013.
The thematic areas of environmental governance, sustainable development and sutainable livelihoods are of interest to him.Felix is passionate about public service and has served with a number of cross-cultural programmes such as Banco Alimenta Contra Forme (Portugal), Amnesty International (Germany), Aalborg Carnival-Engle Vagt and Red Barnet Ungdom (Denmark). During his internship with the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), Convention on Migratory Species (CMS) in Bonn he was part of a team that prepared the manuscript for CMS’ first book on migratory species flyways and their management. He co-manages a food garden which is entirely for feeding hungry students in his spare time; and intends going into commercial farming in the near future.
