Fernanda Tomaselli

Lecturer, Forestry and Climate Change Communication, University of British Columbia

Fernanda is a Lecturer and Coordinator of the Land One program at the Faculty of Forestry, University of British Columbia (UBC). She teaches courses on climate change communication and conservation of natural resources. Her PhD explored how key concepts of ecological economics can be more effectively communicated to the public. Prior to her PhD, she completed a Master of Science at UBC focused on community forestry and microfinance in The Gambia, West Africa. She also holds a Bachelor degree in Environmental Communications. Her research interests include sustainability communications, public opinion, message framing and ecological economics. She has co-authored a number of peer reviewed publications and book chapters.
