Frieda Moran is a PhD candidate in History at the University of Tasmania, researching the cultural history of food safety in Australia. Her most recent publications include 'Encounters of Food and Power in the Australian Colonial Contact Zone' in the Proceedings of the Oxford Symposium on Food and Cookery 2019, and "'Poison in the Milk': Typhoid, Pure Foods, Adulteration and Sanitation in Nineteenth-Century Tasmania" in the 2018 Tasmanian Historical Studies.
