Gary Dietachmayer received his PhD in Applied Mathematics from Monash University in 1988. Since then he has worked at the Center for Analysis and Prediction of Storms (CAPS) at the University of Oklahoma, and in Australia at DSTO, and now BoM.
He is currently the leader of the Atmospheric Modelling Team, which has responsibility for the research development of the numerical models than underpin BoM forecasting capability across a range of time-scales, from Numerical Weather Prediction through to Climate.
