I graduated with a Ph.D. in Psychiatry in 2011 from Stellenbosch University. Since then, I have been a postdoctoral researcher in the department of Psychiatry at Stellenbosch University. My interests lie in the field of NeuroAIDS and I have been involved in various HIV related research projects for 11 years. I am the lead on two neuropsychological and neuroimaging studies, one in HIV-infected women exposed to childhood trauma and the other in HIV-infected individuals who engage in hazardous alcohol use. I manage these projects as well as supervise postgraduate students. I have authored 13 scientific articles and presented at a number of international and national symposia.
