Georgina Spies

I have a Ph.D. in Psychiatry from Stellenbosch University. I am a postdoctoral researcher in the department of Psychiatry at Stellenbosch University. My research interests lie in the field of NeuroAIDS and I have been involved in various HIV related research projects. I am the lead on two neuropsychological and neuroimaging studies, one in women living with HIV, exposed to childhood trauma and the other in people living with HIV who engage in hazardous alcohol use. I manage these projects as well as supervise postgraduate students. I have authored 23 scientific articles and presented at a number of international and national conferences.
