Hakimul Ikhwan is a lecturer at the Department of Sociology and a researcher at the Center for Population and Policy Studies, Gadjah Mada University Indonesia. He holds a PhD from the Department of Sociology of the University of Essex UK. He was a Research Fellow at the Harvard Kennedy School in 2013-2014 and an Erasmus Mundus visiting scholar to the Ghent University Belgium in 2016.
