Hossein Esmaeili is an associate professor with the College of Business, Government and Law at Flinders University. His research is focused on international law (particularly on offshore energy and resources law), comparative law (particularly Middle Eastern law) and property law.
He teaches various courses, both in undergraduate and postgraduate degrees, LLB and JD, online, face to face and hybrid in different areas of international law, human rights, law of the sea, property law, real property law, equity and trusts.
His teaching philosophy is founded on helping students to achieve the highest academic standards through active, deep and critical learning in an internationalised world by ensuring effective feedback and incorporating practical work, cultural context, and community, practical and industry engagements.
