James Halford is a writer and early-career literary scholar from Brisbane, Australia, who has lived and worked in Mexico and Argentina for extended periods over the last ten years. His writing has appeared in Best Australian Short Stories, Meanjin, Antipodes, and Variaciones Borges. He is a current PhD candidate in Creative Writing at the University of Queensland.
