James K Gibb is a Visiting Scholar in the Department of Health and Society at the University of Toronto Scarborough. He will begin his doctoral studies in Biological Anthropology in the Department of Anthropology at Northwestern University in Fall of 2021. He received his MSc in Evolutionary Anthropology from the Department of Anthropology at the University of Toronto in 2020 and was an Urban Leadership Fellow at the School of Cities. He is the quantitative lead of the QueerCOVID-TO Project. His research is primarily focused on how stress from discrimination, stigma, and structural inequities shapes variation in physiological function and health outcomes among LGBTQ+ peoples across the life-course. His published work appears in journals, including Evolution, Medicine, and Public Health and the American Journal of Human Biology.
