Jason Byron Perez

I am a microbiologist and investigated the pathogenicity mechanisms of “Brachyspira hampsonii”, a novel species causing disease in swine as an MSc student at University of Saskatchewan.

I studied Biology at Wilfrid Laurier University and investigated biofilm production by environmental isolates of Enterococcus and Clostridium under different conditions. During my time there, I also investigated bacterial communities associated with different wastewater treatment systems.
