Dr. Jeffrey Reeves is current a research fellow with the Griffith Asia Institute. He is also co-Chair of the Asia Institutes China Group Seminar Series. Jeffrey is currently researching China’s structural power over small and medium states in Asia. Jeffrey has extensive professional and research experience in Mongolia, China, and Washington, DC. Jeffrey lived in Mongolia for three years as a social development volunteer with the United States Peace Corps, the SOROS Foundation, and the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA). Jeffrey also lived in Beijing for three years, during which time he worked at the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), Peking University, and the University of Finance and Economics. Jeffrey recently worked at the Centre for Advanced Studies in Washington, DC, where he founded the centre’s Chinese Studies Centre. Jeffrey speaks and reads Chinese and Mongolian fluently.
