Associate Professor in Urban Infrastructure and Policy, UCL

Jenny is an Associate Professor at UCL's Department of Science, Technology, Engineering and Public Policy. Her research focuses on infrastructure governance and urban policy, including planning, financing, funding and delivery of urban infrastructure systems. She was previously a Research Associate on the EPSRC-funded WEFWEBs project, evaluating the governance of interdependent water, energy, and food systems, and their infrastructures.

Before joining UCL STEaPP, Jenny worked as a researcher on the Resource Urbanisms project at LSE Cities and also in consultancy, advising infrastructure providers on asset management and investment strategy, across transport and water sectors. Jenny has a double degree in civil engineering and economics from the University of Auckland, and completed her PhD at University College London in 2017. Her PhD studies focused on the role of infrastructure within urban growth management and the potential to improve liveability by re-aligning infrastructure planning with the needs of diverse urban populations.
