I am the author of Sustainability: A History (OUP, 2014/2016). I teach in and work on environmental history, the history of science, the human dimensions of climate change, and sustainable food systems. I have worked in the organics industry for several years and I am currently writing a handbook for vegetable farmers to transition to organic production. I write frequently for public outlets including The Atlantic, resilience.org, and the History News Network.
