Professor Emeritus, Faculties of Law and Medicine, Dalhousie University

I have a BA, MA, and MLitt in Philosophy and an LLB, LLM, and SJD. I am a Member of the Order of Canada. I am also a Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada and the Canadian Academy of Health Sciences. Earlier formative experiences include clerking for former Chief Justice Lamer of the Supreme Court of Canada and serving as the Director of the Dalhousie Health Law Institute for ten years. I recently retired from the Faculties of Law and Medicine at Dalhousie University in Nova Scotia, Canada in order to have more time to get into good trouble.
