John Filitz

John Filitz is a Researcher in African Security at the One Earth Future Foundation. His work experience includes tertiary academic institutions and the public sector in his native South Africa, as well as for international governance NGOs. John shares a keen interest in the political economy of emerging nations, with a particular focus on Sub-Saharan Africa. He holds a Masters in Development Studies and a Bachelors in Political Science and Economic History from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. John is a Honorary Research Fellow of the Wits City Institute, at the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa.
