John Petrus Talan

John Petrus Talan graduated with a Masters’ Degree in Development Studies from the Bandung Institute of Technology in Indonesia. He is working as a researcher at the Indonesian Institute of Resource Governance and Social Change (IRGSC).

He has worked as a co-evaluator and researcher in many NGO projects such as Plan International, World Vision, Lutheran World Relief, Child Fund, Millennium Challenge Account – Indonesia (MCA-Indonesia), ACF International, JICA, The Asia Foundation, amongst others. He has also worked as a consultant in several government infrastructure development projects in Indonesia such as Park and Ride, Bus Station Development, and Transit-oriented Development (TOD).

His research focuses on spatial planning, urban studies, social innovation, disaster and humanitarian response, emergency climate change, technology adoption and innovation studies and water conflicts.
