Jono is a graduate of the University of Otago (BMedSc[Hons], MBChB) and is currently working as a junior doctor for Te Whatu Ora Southern at Dunedin Hospital in Aotearoa New Zealand. He holds an adjunct appointment in the Department of Surgery on the academic staff of the Faculty of Medicine at Dalhousie University. He is a also a Scholar with Dalhousie University's Healthy Populations Institute. Jono's primary research interest is Planetary Health and he has experience working in both food system and health system sustainability.
