Jorge Martín García

I held a Phd (Best PhD 2012 Awards from Spanish Society of Forest Science and University of Valladolid), three Masters (M.Sc in Sustainable Use of Natural Resources by the University of Valladolid, M.Sc in Applied Statistics by the National University of Distance Education and M.Sc in Bioinformatic and Biostatistic by the Open University of Catalonia and University of Barcelona) and an Engineering Degree (Best Student Record Award) by the University of Valladolid (Spain).

My research has been carried out in several leading laboratories in Plant Protection, including Fungal & Plant Biology Laboratory at the University of Aveiro (in Portugal), Laboratory of Plant Pathology at the University of Aberdeen (in the UK), Laboratory of Molecular Biology and Plant Pathology of the Finish Forest Research Institute (in Finland), Laboratory of Forest Entomology and Biodiversity of the Institut National de la Recherche Agronomique (in France), Laboratory of Forest Science at the University of San Luis (Argentina), Laboratory of Plant Pathology at the University of Extremadura (in Spain) and Laboratory of Plant Pathology at the University of Valladolid (in Spain).

Beyond my research career, I have obtained a wide range of teaching experience, as Assistant Professor at the University of Extremadura (Spain) and University of Valladolid (Spain), as a Lecturer at a Forestry College (in León, Spain) and as teacher training at the University of South Bohemia (Ceske Budejovice, Czech Republic). Furthermore, I have experience as a Forest Manager for the Environmental Department of Spain and for some private companies.
