Julie has significant experience in school education policy and system change. She has co-authored a number of high profile schooling reports on effective teaching, professional learning, student progress, schools funding and equity.
She has studied high performing education systems including Singapore, Hong Kong, Shanghai and Canada. She has consulted to Australian state governments as well as the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and NCEE in the US.
Julie is an economist by training, with a Masters in Public Policy from the University of Melbourne. She has worked in strategic policy at both federal and state levels.
